Even Emperor Franz Joseph and his Sissi were guests at the Perwanger Residenz, the former Gasthof ‘Sonne’, during their spa stays at the Mendel Pass with their entourage. The nearby Mendel cable car connects the village of Kaltern with the Mendel Pass, a natural oasis that was already a popular holiday destination for the Austrian aristocracy at the end of the 19th century.
In the traffic-calmed and central location, you can enjoy the peace and quiet and easily explore the village on foot.
Numerous cafés, restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity invite you to linger. All shopping facilities can be reached on foot in just a few minutes.
The Residenza Perwanger is a comfortable starting point to immerse yourself in the alpine nature of the Dolomites or in the Mediterranean life of Bolzano.

The third bedroom is equipped with a single bed and generous wardrobe space. The room offers a romantic view directly onto the historic market square.
